Ahh, this just shows how patriotic, loyal, and an overall good person Payne is. If it was me, I would’ve reacted emotionally, say f*ck it all, and watch everything burn down. Despite all his realizations of how little he and his a contributions are valued, he still put the well-being of the empire and its citizens before his own resentment.
